About the Role

Senior IT Systems Engineers are responsible for monitoring, installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise technology solutions. This role provides technical support, troubleshoots complex problems, and performs scripting/programming to ensure stable, efficient operation of critical systems. Senior IT Systems Engineers drive automation and process improvement initiatives, own multiple complex systems/applications, lead technical initiatives, and serve as a resource for other engineers.

Essential Functions


- Performs installation, monitoring, testing, configuration, migration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of assigned technology

- Manages system/application environments and ongoing operations
- Ensures technologies remain current, stable, and compliant with enterprise architecture standards

- Researches, designs, implements, and tests technology solutions
- Proactively monitors and reports on performance and utilization
- Troubleshoots software/hardware issues and resolves alerts and escalated tickets

- Determines migration and upgrade impacts; diagnoses and resolves complex technology errors

- Collaborates with IT and business partners on cross-functional initiatives
- Writes scripting/programming for automation and remediation
- May participate in Disaster Recovery planning and exercises
- May contribute to infrastructure architecture design
- Performs on-call rotation as needed


Required Qualifications


- 5 years demonstrated proficiency in design, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of infrastructure software products

- 7 years of experience administering Citrix NetScaler Client, including Layer 4/Layer 7 routing, PCAP analysis, and hardware refresh/migrations (of which 5 years should be dedicated, exclusively Client-focused administration on Citrix NetScaler, F5, or a comparable platform)
- 3 years of experience in cloud migrations/transformations ( AWS strongly preferred)

- 3 years of experience managing SSL certificates
- 3 years of experience administering Fortinet FortiProxy or a similar platform, including firmware upgrades and patching

- Strong experience across both Windows and Linux environments
- Strong experience with vulnerability management and audit support
- Strong scripting/programming experience (PowerShell, Java, Python, or similar) for audits and automated task scheduling — 5 years of scripting specific to patching and vulnerability remediation preferred

- Ability to support systems on a 24x7 on-call rotation
- Experience implementing/administering technical solutions in large-scale system deployments

- Strong critical thinking to evaluate alternatives and align solutions to business strategy

- Proven leadership: knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation, fairness, and assertiveness

- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly across all audiences


Preferred Qualifications


- Development experience is a plus


Required Education: Bachelor's degree with an IT focus, or equivalent relevant work experience

Work Environment: Hybrid — combines remote flexibility with in-office engagement based on role/business needs. Travel to corporate or regional offices may be required.
