Job Description
At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. We are seeking a Senior Director, Development Program Management to join our Portfolio and Program Management team, supporting our Oncology therapeutic area in a hybrid capacity. In this role, you will lead program strategy while collaborating with cross-functional teams, contributing to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.
This position is based in either **Tarrytown, NY** or **Warren, NJ**, with a hybrid work arrangement and approximately **25% travel**. Your primary responsibility will be identifying and developing a team of high-performing program managers, from manager through associate director levels. You will also provide operational leadership and direction to assigned small and/or low-to-medium complexity development programs.
## Leading a Team of Program Managers
You will recruit, hire, build, and lead a team of early-career program managers, with emphasis on advancing talent by developing, improving, or enhancing PM capabilities, processes, and initiatives. You will identify and assess development needs, ensure direct reports have actionable development plans with ongoing coaching and feedback to enable growth and future leadership. Establishing and maintaining a comprehensive training and development curriculum aligned with department goals and career ladders is key, as is building a project allocation model to support the pipeline and development of your team. You will collaborate with portfolio management to understand longer-range resourcing needs and develop plans to address them.
## Project Leadership and Management
You will partner with the Global Program Head on small and/or low-to-medium complexity programs to drive Strategic Program Teams, leading management and execution from preclinical stages through late development and lifecycle management. Developing and ensuring delivery of comprehensive integrated plans—including timelines and budgets—while ensuring alignment with company goals is a core part of the role.
## Driving Continuous Improvement
You will identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project management, proactively sharing lessons learned within the team and across the organization.
## What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum **15+ years** of relevant, broad project/program management experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or related industry.
- Extensive experience in Pharma R&D project management, a deep understanding of the end-to-end drug development process, and a proven ability to deliver results.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact at all levels internally and externally, establishing credibility with project team professionals.
- Strong presentation and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to actively promote constructive interactions, resolve and negotiate conflicts or problems with tact, diplomacy, and composure.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and priorities.
## What We Offer
Regeneron offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package. The salary range for this role is **$216,100 - $360,200 annually**, and the final offer will be determined within that range based on your location, specific role level, and your skills and experience.
