Senior Accountant

Responsibilities



Kforce's client, a rapidly growing NYC based organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant. Summary: In this role, you will partner closely with the Controller, playing a key role in supporting the monthly close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, audit preparation, and ongoing process improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building scalable processes, taking ownership, and contributing within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.



Requirements





- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong emphasis on operational finance, process optimization, and building scalable accounting functions
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with operations, leadership, and business teams to streamline processes and improve financial visibility
- Strong process improvement mindset with a track record of creating efficiencies, enhancing controls, and supporting organizational growth
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement practical solutions that improve accuracy, scalability, and overall financial operations
- Experience supporting accounting system implementations, workflow enhancements, or finance transformation projects is highly desirable





The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
