School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Overland Park, Kansas

Make a positive difference in the educational journey of students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a school-based contract position. This role, starting as soon as possible and continuing through May 2027, focuses on providing essential support to district occupational therapists by assisting with larger caseloads across 1-3 campuses in the Kansas City, KS area.

You'll enjoy scheduling flexibility, as you determine your own weekly visits to each assigned campus. This opportunity offers a meaningful, hands-on environment working directly with students to develop and improve the skills they need for success in daily life and academics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with registered occupational therapists to execute therapy plans.

• Support and track student progress by documenting sessions and goals.

• Travel between assigned campuses to provide consistent, high-quality services.

• Encourage and motivate students in the development of daily living and working skills.

• Communicate with teachers, staff, and families as needed to support student success.

Qualifications:

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.

• Experience in a school setting preferred but not required.

• Excellent time management and flexibility for multi-campus scheduling.

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Commitment to supporting diverse student needs in a collaborative educational setting.
