School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Corona, California

Key Qualifications:

• Active California COTA license is required

• Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred

• Experience assisting an Assistive Technology (AT) Specialist and working with AT devices is highly desirable

• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and documentation

• Ability to serve either one or multiple school sites as needed

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Must satisfy all district and state background requirements and clearances

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals

• Assist the AT Specialist in implementing and managing assistive technology devices for students

• Support students participation in classroom and campus activities

• Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with school protocols

• Communicate with teachers, staff, and families regarding student progress and needs

• Be flexible to support students across one or more school sites, depending on caseload needs

• Contribute proactively to school-based therapy and multidisciplinary teams
