RN Specialty - Cancer & Hematology

Mercy is seeking an RN Specialty - Cancer & Hematology to provide comprehensive, compassionate care to oncology and hematology patients. In this role, you will coordinate and deliver evidence-based treatments, administer chemotherapy and biotherapies, monitor patient responses, manage symptoms, and educate patients and families on care plans and side effects. You'll collaborate closely with oncologists, hematologists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes. Responsibilities
• Provide direct oncology and hematology nursing care to adult patients across the cancer care continuum.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive infusions safely and per protocols.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status, treatment responses, and side effects in the EMR.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
• Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacists, social workers, and other team members.
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory standards in all clinical practices.
• Participate in care conferences, quality initiatives, and process improvements.
• Support patients and families with compassionate communication and psychosocial support.
