(RN) Registered Nurse - Oncology - Pecos, New Mexico

This full-time contract opportunity offers both clinical and administrative responsibilities, serving as a trusted resource for staff and an advocate for patients and families. You’ll guide the MS Oncology nursing team, driving initiatives for patient care excellence and fostering a collaborative department atmosphere.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week

• 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required

• Active RN license in NM or multi-state compact licensure

• BLS certification (AHA only)

• Previous experience in Oncology nursing (MS Oncology preferred)

• Proven leadership, management, or charge nurse experience strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the MS Oncology unit, ensuring quality patient care is delivered in compliance with regulations and best practices

• Provide 24/7 accountability for the safe and effective delivery of patient care and staff support

• Lead the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of departmental goals, policies, and procedures

• Promote professional development for clinical and administrative team members

• Serve as an advocate for patients/families, supporting patient satisfaction and rights

• Collaborate with hospital leadership, HR, and interdepartmental teams to address unit needs and foster positive working relationships

• Handle staffing, budgeting, onboarding, and performance evaluations

• Maintain compliance with Joint Commission and state requirements

• Encourage continuous improvement and innovation in care delivery

$60,500 - $64,000/Week
