Oncology RN Contract Position
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
AM Shift: 07:00 – 19:30, Monday to Friday. This role requires 3 × 12-hour shifts, totaling 36 hours per week with no weekends or holidays.
Job Description
The Oncology RN will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a primarily oncology unit with a focus on chemotherapy administration and bone marrow transplant (BMT) nursing. While floating is rare, there may be occasional assignments to the Med Surg Floor to fulfill work hours.
Responsibilities
• Administer chemotherapy and manage care for oncology patients.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in health status.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in oncology.
• BLS certification required.
• ONS certification is required.
• Experience in BMT is recommended but not mandatory.
