Job Description
Within the capacity of a Registered Nurse (RN), critical tasks involve delivering top-quality patient care and securing positive patient outcomes through the competent and compassionate implementation of nursing expertise. Working under general oversight, this position promotes professional nursing standards by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaborative engagement with different specialties.
Essential Job Function
• Reviews patient's medical needs and conditions within the designated unit to deliver direct and appropriate nursing care necessary for each patient.
• Evaluates patient details, like medical history, test outcomes, and current health condition, to formulate individualized nursing care plans.
• Designs nursing approaches that include medication administration and interventions to provide extensive and beneficial patient support.
• Matches medical documents to ensure they are accurate and meet regulatory and organizational standards.
• Assesses patient reactions to treatments and identifies any supplementary interventions necessary to meet established care goals.
• Partners with various healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care plan creation.
• Performs additional functions as needed.
Education
• Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
• Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
• Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
• Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state, BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
