Residency Program Director & Hematology Oncology Clinical Pharmacist

Role: The Pharmacy Leadership team member responsible for providing top-tier pharmaceutical care, overseeing hematology and oncology medication therapy, and managing the residency program.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive medication review, dosing, monitoring, and safety for hematology and oncology patients.
Oversee the residency program, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and fostering clinical excellence.
Mentor pharmacy residents, students, and staff to support professional development.
Collaborate with medical and nursing teams to optimize medication therapy and resolve drug-related issues.
Participate in clinical rounds, providing expert consultation on drug therapy and pharmacokinetics.
Develop and implement evidence-based protocols and cost-effective medication strategies.
Ensure accurate medication preparation, including sterile compounding, and monitor medication utilization trends.
Manage pharmacy operations, staff performance, recruitment, and compliance with standards.
Provide drug information and in-service education to healthcare professionals.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in patient care and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required; Doctoral Degree preferred.
Strong clinical knowledge in pharmacotherapy, pharmacy operations, and leadership.
Excellent communication, mentorship, and collaboration skills.
Ability to develop protocols, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Experience in hematology and oncology pharmacy practice is advantageous.
