We are seeking an Research Nurse to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD. This is an on-site position.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Support, coordinate, and oversee the implementation of multiple first-in-human and phase II studies in inpatient and outpatient areas within the Endocrinology specialty.

TASKS/SERVICES
• Perform clinical trials duties in accordance with standards of nursing practice and the Code of Ethics and maintain awareness of what constitutes falsification of data or other research misconduct.
• Coordinate and implement clinical research protocols.
• Educate and counsel patients participating in clinical trials.
• Expert in regulatory affairs related to clinical trials research
• Facilitate the lifecycle of clinical research trials
• Work closely with a diverse team of health care providers to provide patient care and conduct clinical research.
• Facilitate patient recruitment and enrollment into on-going clinical trials.
• Ensure compliance with protocol and regulatory requirements.
• Manage clinical research data and provide data quality assurance.
• Promote the utilization of community resources.
• Data Management and Data Entry.

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Documentation (licensure) of current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a nurse in the state of Maryland.
• Minimum two (2) years of specialized professional Research Nursing with regulatory experience.
