Job Title: Research Associate III – Pathobiology

Location: Foster City, CA – 100% Onsite

Duration: 18 Months Contract

Pay: $50–$57/hour on W2

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM





Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate III to support drug discovery and development within the Pathobiology Group. The role will focus on tissue-based assay development, drug target identification/validation, and IHC/CISH techniques across oncology, fibrosis, virology, and inflammation research.

Key Responsibilities:


- Develop, optimize, and validate IHC/CISH assays and antibody reagents.
- Perform tissue preparation, handling, histological techniques, and image scanning.
- Independently plan, execute, troubleshoot, and interpret research experiments.
- Support target identification and validation and drug candidate programs.
- Collaborate with internal research teams, senior scientists, and external partners/CROs.
- Identify process improvements and new technologies to enhance research capabilities.
- Manage multiple projects, analyze data, and present findings and recommendations.


Qualifications:


- BS with 8+ years or MS with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in IHC method development and tissue-based assays.
- Experience in drug discovery and target validation, preferably in oncology, fibrosis, inflammation, or virology.
- Strong tissue handling, data management, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Multiplex IHC experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
