Job Description
Role Overview: The RRT Nurse is a registered nurse responsible for coordinating rapid response assessments, prioritizing interventions, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. They respond to RRT calls, provide crisis intervention, document care, and develop clinical practice guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
• Respond to RRT calls and coordinate patient care during emergencies.
• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient responses to crises.
• Communicate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes using SBAR.
• Monitor and analyze RRT data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement clinical practice guidelines.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on RRT processes and care.
• Serve as a professional role model, mentor peers, and support a positive work environment.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with policies.
Qualifications & Skills
• Associates or Bachelor’s Nursing degree preferred.
• Current RN licensure (single state or multi-state compact).
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and other relevant credentials required upon hire.
• Minimum two years of critical care nursing experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, delegation, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work effectively under stress and in emergency situations.
• Proficiency in computer skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of ethical nursing practices and adherence to applicable regulations.
Additional Requirements: Current certifications in advanced cardiac life support and critical care nursing are preferred. The role involves working night shifts and requires strong customer service and clinical judgment skills.
