Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient Oncology Team RN

Join the outpatient oncology team at Aurora Cancer Care in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, where you'll work as a Team RN focusing on phone triage, care management, and direct collaboration with providers—this role does not involve infusions. ## Schedule and Pay

This part-time position offers 24 hours per week: Monday and Thursday at the Mayfair South location, and Friday at West Allis, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The pay range is $35.50 to $53.25 per hour, based on qualifications, skills, and experience. ## What You’ll Do

As a skilled and compassionate registered nurse, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an ambulatory setting. You'll use evidence-based practice and clinical expertise to coordinate comprehensive care, advocate for patient needs, and lead efforts to create the safest patient environment. Your day-to-day involves working independently, making sound judgments, and communicating effectively with patients and the care team.

## Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered, you must have completed an accredited nursing program and hold a current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association is required. While a minimum of one year of RN experience is preferred, it is not strictly required—new graduates are welcome to apply. Strong organizational and customer service skills, the ability to multitask with frequent interruptions, and comfort working with diverse patient populations are essential.

## Physical Demands and Work Environment

The role involves sitting, standing, walking, lifting, squatting, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, climbing, and reaching above shoulders throughout the day. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, lift up to 20 pounds overhead, carry up to 40 pounds a reasonable distance, push/pull with 30 pounds of force, and perform a sliding transfer of 150 pounds with assistance. Functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch are required, as is fine hand manipulation for procedures like IV insertion. You may be exposed to cytotoxic and hazardous waste, blood and body fluids, and communicable diseases, so protective clothing and equipment must be worn as needed.
