Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology MedSurg - Nights

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, and individualized patient care on an Oncology Medsurg Unit, working within an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practices.
Partner with patients and families for relationship-based, culturally sensitive, patient-centered care.
Coordinate and document safe, quality care through effective communication and teamwork.
Support performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
Serve as a preceptor or mentor, fostering professional development and a healthy work environment.
Ensure compliance with all policies, standards, and regulatory requirements, including accreditation goals.
Participate in protocol development and resource optimization to improve patient outcomes.
Engage in ongoing competency assessments and professional growth activities.

Qualifications & Skills

Associates or Bachelor’s Nursing degree preferred.
Active RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
Minimum 6 months RN experience in direct patient care preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond effectively to emergencies.
Proficient in technology and computer skills.
