Job Description
This role is for an RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician responsible for administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, antineoplastic agents, and hazardous drugs in outpatient infusion settings.
Key Responsibilities Include
Providing safe, patient-centered care tailored to age and cultural needs
Performing the nursing process through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practices
Partnering with patients and families to meet biological, emotional, and educational needs
Ensuring compliance with clinical standards and maintaining chemotherapy competence
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, documenting care, and supporting performance improvement initiatives
Serving as a preceptor or mentor to new staff, fostering professional development
Promoting evidence-based practice, participating in research, and contributing to protocol development
Supporting resource management and participating in data collection to improve patient outcomes
Upholding policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications And Skills
Valid nursing license and adherence to state nursing practice acts
Expertise in oncology infusion therapy and related clinical procedures
Strong teamwork, communication, and cultural competence
Commitment to continuing education and professional growth
Ability to work flexibly across multiple sites and support organizational goals.
