Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Levine Cancer Outpatient Transplant and Cellular Therapy

This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible. Based on eligibility.
Where You Will Work:

Atrium Health Levine Cancer Outpatient Transplant and Cellular Therapy - is looking for a Full-time Registered Nurse Supervisor to support this new program. This is an ambulatory infusion style pod with 15 chairs that is open 7 days a week from to support the needs of transplant and cellular therapy patients. This team will help prepare patients for transplants by administering chemotherapy, administer cellular therapy products, and support patients during the acute phase after receiving the cellular therapy with IV medications, electrolyte replacement, blood products and other supportive care measures.

This program is an extension of our already existing Transplant and Cellular Therapy program that was established 10 years ago and has completed more than 1200 transplants. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the original outpatient TCT team!
We’re Looking For:
• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Three years clinical experience with demonstrated clinical expertise and management abilities
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Proficiency in IV therapy, bone marrow, spinals, thoracenteses, paracenteses and phlebotomy preferred.
• Oncology certification preferred.
What You’ll Do:
• Plans and supervises safe, efficient, and economical nursing care in compliance with nursing standards, hospital policies and procedures, and regulatory agency requirements
• Assesses delivery of patient care, helps with patient/family teaching, identifies problems, and makes improvements as necessary. Assesses nursing care needs by making patient rounds, or unit/departmental rounds
• Participates in providing patient care as necessary and assists in emergencies. Assists in the care of grieving families; oversees the disposition of patients who have died.
