We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology (Acute Care) to join our healthcare team. The Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology (Acute Care) will provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients receiving treatment for various cancer diagnoses within an acute care setting. The Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology (Acute Care) is responsible for assessing patient conditions, administering medications, coordinating care plans, and supporting patients and families throughout their treatment journey.

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology (Acute Care) will work closely with physicians, oncology specialists, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care. The Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology (Acute Care) will monitor patient responses to treatment, provide education regarding disease management, and advocate for patient needs. The Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology (Acute Care) will play a critical role in supporting patients undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation-related treatments, and symptom management. A successful Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology (Acute Care) demonstrates empathy, professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication to improving patient outcomes. The Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology (Acute Care) must be capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced acute care environment while maintaining a patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients in an acute care setting.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and report significant changes to healthcare providers.
• Administer medications, chemotherapy treatments, and supportive therapies as prescribed.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and treatment-related complications.
• Educate patients and families regarding oncology treatments, medications, and recovery plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records within electronic medical record systems.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing evaluations.
• Manage pain control and symptom management interventions.
• Assist with diagnostic testing and treatment procedures.
• Support patients emotionally throughout their cancer treatment journey.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and infection prevention protocols.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning discussions.
• Promote patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient transitions of care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional nursing standards.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
• Foster a supportive and compassionate healthcare environment.

Education:
• Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred

Certifications:
• RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
• BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor

Experience:
• Less than 1 year Completion of accredited/ approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours Requireddirect patient care experience Preferred
