Job Description
Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in an Oncology unit, providing inpatient care to adult cancer patients requiring treatments, hospice, and telemetry services.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practices.
Deliver patient-centered care tailored to individual needs, cultural diversity, and specific populations.
Partner effectively with patients and families, ensuring clear communication and involvement in care planning.
Coordinate safe, high-quality care through interdisciplinary collaboration, documentation, and adherence to clinical standards.
Support performance improvement initiatives, research, and evidence-based practice to enhance patient outcomes.
Mentor and serve as preceptor to develop a qualified nursing workforce.
Participate in protocol development, data collection, and resource management to ensure optimal care delivery.
Qualifications & Skills
Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
Current RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Less than one year of clinical experience preferred.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond effectively to emergencies.
Proficiency in technology and documentation required.
Key Duties: Provide individualized, safe patient care; collaborate with healthcare team; uphold professional standards; promote evidence-based practices; and support organizational quality and safety goals.
