Shift: Monday-Friday

The Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute offers unparalleled services for cancer patients all under one roof. Our dedicated team comprises compassionate caregivers and physicians utilizing cutting-edge technology for the best patient outcomes.
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our outpatient Infusion Centers, you will deliver holistic nursing care for our patients and their families. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Performing comprehensive patient assessments and offering effective symptom management.
• Administering chemotherapy, biotherapy, infusions, injections, and transfusions safely.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care throughout treatment and follow-up.
• Coordinating patient schedules for infusion visits.
• Triage patients based on established pathways in collaboration with physicians.
• Managing a caseload of patients receiving various infusion and oral therapies in an outpatient setting.
• Communicating effectively with diverse audiences to achieve optimal care outcomes.
• Participating in professional development and safety initiatives to enhance the patient experience.
• Engaging in implementing clinical support programs to ensure patient care excellence.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
• Current Connecticut RN License
• Current OCN Chemotherapy/Biotherapy card (or obtain within the first month of hire)
Education:
• BSN strongly preferred
Experience:
• Two (2) years of previous Oncology Nursing experience strongly preferred
