Job Title: Registered Nurse - Oncology

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused Registered Nurse - Oncology to join our healthcare team. The Registered Nurse - Oncology is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment and managing oncology-related healthcare needs. The Registered Nurse - Oncology works closely with physicians, healthcare providers, patients, and caregivers to deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and treatment effectiveness.

The Registered Nurse - Oncology plays a critical role in assessing patient conditions, administering medications, monitoring treatment responses, and providing emotional support to patients and families throughout the care journey. The Registered Nurse - Oncology is responsible for coordinating treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and educating patients regarding treatment options, medication management, and symptom control.

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care to oncology patients receiving treatment.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing clinical evaluations.
• Monitor vital signs, treatment responses, and patient conditions.
• Administer medications, intravenous therapies, blood products, and oncology treatments as prescribed.
• Coordinate care plans with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding medications, treatment plans, and symptom management.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and nursing documentation.
• Assess patient pain levels and implement appropriate pain management interventions.
• Monitor patients for treatment complications and adverse reactions.
• Provide emotional support and patient advocacy throughout treatment processes.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and infection prevention guidelines.
• Participate in discharge planning and continuity of patient care initiatives.
• Assist with patient education regarding recovery and wellness strategies.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices.
• Maintain professional development and continuing nursing education requirements.

Education:
• Associate's Degree in nursing or Graduate of accredited/approved school of nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred
• Required Minimum Experience
• Less than 1 year Completion of accredited/ approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours Required
• direct patient care experience Preferred
