Join Our Dedicated Team of Oncology Nurses!
As a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in acute oncology care, you will play a crucial role in providing both routine and complex nursing care to our patients. You will work independently while managing various clinical situations using your expertise. We are looking for compassionate individuals who are committed to improving the health and well-being of our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Demonstrating effective leadership in alignment with OneCHRISTUS Competencies.
• Utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive care, including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addressing the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with your nursing practice.
• Administering medications and treatments according to protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Documenting patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assessing learning needs and educating patients, family members, and caregivers regarding treatment and resources.
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.
• Current BLS and RN License in the state of employment or compact required.
• Newly hired experienced RNs must complete orientation and competency validations within the first 30 days.
• Current PALS certification needed within 30 days of hire.
