Penn Highlands Healthcare is seeking a Regional Medical Director of Oncology to lead its innovative hematology and oncology care services. This role involves overseeing system/region oncology services within an integrated healthcare system that provides comprehensive supportive services. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of physicians and advanced practice providers dedicated to multidisciplinary patient care.

Practice Info

• Collaborative team that includes 4 hematology-oncology physicians and 7 advanced practice providers

• Services include immunotherapy, management of solid tumors, chemotherapy, blood cancers

• Support staff includes onsite RN supervisor and oncology certified or eligible RNs

• Shared call coverage with physician group

• Workload split 70-30 (clinical versus admin)

• Medical Director will be expected to be on site at all locations at least monthly, all within a 30-minute drive from Penn Highlands Dubois (base location), including Brookville, Clearfield, Punxsutawney, Clarion, and St Marys satellite offices

Requirements

• Previous Medical Director experience a must (5-10 years preferred)

• Board certified hematology/oncology

• Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills to interface with all departments within and outside of oncology, physicians and staff across the Penn Highlands system
