The office is working through a backlog of reasonable accommodation requests and EEO complaints. You'll carry a full caseload under the supervision of the agency's EEO leadership and alongside a senior Paramint colleague — real casework, real responsibility, and a team that will train you on their processes and then trust you to run.

- Manage reasonable accommodation cases: intake and triage from a shared inbox, employee meetings (Teams or in person), cooperative dialogue coordination, documentation, and timely resolution
- Support EEO complaint investigations: intake, documentation, interviews, evidence review, and report drafting
- Work the oldest backlog cases first
- Keep case records accurate and current in Excel trackers and the agency's complaint database
- Draft correspondence, schedule and coordinate meetings, and support report preparation
- Handle every case with confidentiality and care
What you bring
- 2+ years of investigations experience; EEO investigations
or reasonable accommodation review required
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or HR credential a plus
- Familiarity with Title VII, ADA, NYS Human Rights Law, and NYC Human Rights Law
- Clear, organized investigative writing
- Discretion with confidential and medical information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with case management systems a plus
Qualifications
- Knowledge of disability, leave, and accommodation laws and guidelines (e.g., ADA, state and local regulations) and ability to apply them in a consistent, compliant manner.
- Experience managing accommodations or related HR, employee relations, or case management processes, including intake, documentation review, and resolution.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex policies clearly, facilitate collaborative problem-solving, and maintain a supportive, impartial tone.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail for tracking cases, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accurate records.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, case tracking tools, and internal systems; comfort learning new digital platforms and collaborating with technical teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, professional ethics, and inclusive practices that support individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment or consulting setting is preferred; experience in the New York City or New York State regulatory context is a plus.
