Job Description

Radiopharmacy Sales Specialist – Nuclear Medicine & PET

Location: Chantilly, VA / Flexible US location for experienced candidates

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 base + uncapped commission

Travel: Approximately 50% nationwide

We’re recruiting a Radiopharmacy Sales Specialist for an established international supplier of specialist instrumentation and software to the nuclear medicine, radiopharmacy and pharmaceutical sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in nuclear medicine, radiopharmacy, PET production or scientific sales who wants to combine their technical knowledge with a commercially focused, customer-facing career.

You don’t necessarily need to be an established salesperson. Our client is equally interested in technically credible radiopharmacy professionals who are personable, energetic and genuinely motivated to develop within sales.

The Opportunity

You’ll represent a portfolio of specialist radiopharmacy instrumentation and software, supporting existing customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities across the United States. The company’s solutions are used by leading PET production facilities, hospitals, research centres and commercial radiopharmacies to manage radiopharmaceutical production, quality control, regulatory compliance and laboratory data.

This is a consultative sales role. You’ll understand each customer’s workflow, identify their technical and operational challenges and become a trusted resource rather than simply selling products from a catalogue.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop new business across the US nuclear medicine and radiopharmacy market
• Build and maintain relationships with existing customer accounts
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable instrumentation and software
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations and commercial proposals
• Respond to enquiries and provide quotations and technical information
• Represent the company at nuclear medicine conferences and industry events
• Manage opportunities and customer activity accurately through the CRM
• Coordinate with US colleagues and international sales, technical and support teams
• Manage sales orders from initial enquiry through to completion

What We’re Looking For

You should offer one of the following:
• At least two years of scientific or technical sales experience within a laboratory, life-science or related market

or
• At least two years of practical experience within nuclear medicine, radiopharmacy, PET production or a related clinical/scientific environment, with a genuine desire to move into sales

You’ll also need:
• Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
• A confident, engaging and commercially motivated personality
• The initiative to develop opportunities and manage a nationwide territory
• The ability to understand and communicate complex technical solutions
• A relevant scientific, technical or commercial degree, or equivalent experience
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time

Location and Training

The company’s US office is based in Chantilly, Virginia, and candidates within reach of the office are preferred, particularly during onboarding and initial training.

Remote working may be considered for an experienced scientific-sales professional who can operate independently and successfully manage a nationwide territory. New hires should expect increased office attendance during their first six months, together with an early international training visit.

Package
• $80,000–$100,000 base salary, with flexibility considered according to experience
• Uncapped commission from the first completed sale
• 401(k) with company match
• Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance
• 21 days of paid vacation plus company holidays
• International product and applications training
• Significant progression potential within an expanding US operation

If you understand radiopharmacy or nuclear medicine and bring the confidence, energy and commercial drive to build strong customer relationships, we’d like to hear from you.

Benefits

  • Paid time off
  • Health insurance
  • Dental insurance
