Responsibilities
• Administer radiation therapy procedures following physician treatment plans and established safety protocols.
• Efficiently operate, maintain, and troubleshoot linear accelerators and associated radiation therapy equipment.
• Precisely position patients and use imaging guidance to verify treatment areas.
• Review therapy prescriptions, confirm dosing, and document treatments accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Ensure adherence to radiation safety guidelines, quality assurance standards, and infection control measures.
• Collaborate with oncologists, dosimetrists, nurses, and physicists to provide coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment processes, potential side effects, and aftercare.
• Maintain meticulous records of treatments, quality assurance, and equipment performance.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives and leverage technology to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Contribute feedback to enhance StaffDNA's digital platform and improve user experience.
Required Skills
• Expertise in radiation therapy procedures.
• Proficient operation of linear accelerators.
• Familiarity with Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT).
• Experience with treatment planning systems such as Eclipse, ARIA, or MOSAIQ.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and dosimetry standards.
• Skilled in patient positioning and immobilization techniques.
• Experience with electronic medical records in an oncology setting.
• Understanding of quality assurance (QA) in radiation oncology.
• Ability to communicate effectively about oncology patient education.
• Commitment to clinical documentation and regulatory compliance.
