BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Radiology Technologist for MSK -Special Procedures & IR Neuro Advanced Modality Technologist for Barnes Jewish Hospital – 5th Floor Plaza West Tower (St. Louis, MO) - MSK Special Procedures and Neuro Interventional Radiology Suites Dept.

Position Details:
• Day Shift: 4 days per Week @ 10 hours shifts - Monday - Friday (7:30am-6pm)
• Extra Pay Call Rotation (Paid even if not called in!!!): Weeknight call (Monday to Thursday): 6:00 PM to 7:30 AM & Weekend call (Friday 6:00 PM through Monday 7:30 AM)
• Participate in on-call coverage for emergent Neuro IR cases
• Support both Musculoskeletal (MSK) and Neuro Interventional Radiology procedures
• Operate fluoroscopy and other imaging equipment, prepare and maintain sterile procedure fields, assist physicians and nurses during image-guided procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced procedural environment & participate in call and respond to emergent cases
• Opportunity to work in both MSK and Neuro IR, gaining experience across two highly specialized service lines
• Exposure to advanced minimally invasive procedures and cutting-edge technology
• Diverse case mix including stroke intervention, neurovascular procedures, kyphoplasty, ablations, biopsies, and injections

Requirements:
• Associate degree or higher in related field
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)

Experience (preferred):
• Interventional Radiology, Special Procedures, Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, or Neuro IR experience
• Experience with fluoroscopy, sterile technique, and image-guided procedures
• Epic experience
• On-the-job training will be provided for candidates with strong procedural imaging backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.

• Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
