Job Summary
As a Radiation Therapy Specialist, you will be at the forefront of patient care, performing essential imaging tasks and delivering precise therapeutic radiation doses to patients in a safe and effective manner. Your role will involve:
• Utilizing your technical expertise in equipment, clinical treatment set-up, and anatomical landmarks.
• Accurately managing treatment records and ensuring safety throughout the patient treatment process.
• Engaging compassionately with patients, their families, and medical staff while maintaining strict confidentiality in adherence to HIPAA standards.
• Monitoring and reporting on the emotional and physical status of patients, catering to diverse client needs.
This role is pivotal in providing high-quality oncology care and improving patient experiences.
Qualifications
• Completion of a radiation therapy course from an accredited program.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required. If performing procedures in North Dakota, licensure through the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board of Examiners is also essential.
