Job Description
Contribute your expertise in Radiation Therapy to a respected healthcare team, utilizing advanced technology and supporting patients through their treatment journeys. This contract opportunity is designed for a skilled Radiation Therapist ready to begin as soon as possible and deliver exceptional care in a dynamic clinical environment.
Schedule:
• Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (5 x 8-hour shifts)
Qualifications:
• Minimum of two years' experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Current, active Virginia license (required at time of application)
• Proficiency with Varian Truebeam and Aria systems
• Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills
• Comfortable clearing a two-step interview process: one virtual (Teams), one onsite; all travel and accommodation costs for the in-person interview covered
Responsibilities:
• Administer targeted radiation treatments, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to review and implement physician treatment plans
• Operate and monitor Varian Truebeam/Aria equipment, performing QA as required
• Document treatments and patient progress accurately in electronic medical records
• Provide patient education and emotional support throughout the course of therapy
• Adhere to safety protocols and stay current with best practices and technology
