Radiation Therapist (RTT) - Oncology Location: Multiple Locations Across Maryland
Position Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $43-$56/hour
Position Overview NurseAmerica is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Radiation Therapist (RTT) to join a leading outpatient Oncology/Hematology practice with multiple locations across Maryland. This Contract-to-Hire opportunity is ideal for professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality radiation therapy while providing exceptional care and support to cancer patients.
Working alongside Radiation Oncologists and a multidisciplinary oncology team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring safe, accurate, and effective radiation treatments.
Key Responsibilities • Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist.
• Accurately position patients to ensure precise treatment delivery.
• Operate radiation therapy equipment according to established protocols.
• Enter and maintain patient treatment information within the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Verify treatment parameters and ensure accurate documentation.
• Interpret computerized treatment plans and follow prescribed treatment protocols.
• Assist with patient scheduling and coordination of daily treatments.
• Prepare custom immobilization devices and treatment accessories as required.
• Complete required treatment calculations and documentation.
• Maintain treatment equipment and ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary oncology team to provide exceptional patient care.
Qualifications • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• Active ARRT (T) Certification required.
• Active Maryland Radiation Therapist License (or eligibility to obtain one).
• 1-3 years of Radiation Therapy experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment • Outpatient Oncology/Radiation Therapy Center.
• Day shift schedule.
• Opportunity to work at multiple Maryland locations based on business needs.
• Frequent interaction with oncology patients and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
