Radiation Therapist RT(T)

BJC Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Radiation Therapist RT(T) to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. As a Radiation Therapist at BJC Healthcare, you will utilize state-of-the-art equipment to administer radiation therapy as prescribed by physicians to treat cancer in patients. You will be integral in collaborating with oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals in developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans tailored for individual patient needs.

Responsibilities

Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment according to established practices and standards.
Conduct patient simulations and radiation treatment planning.
Monitor patient's physical condition during therapy sessions.
Maintain detailed records of treatment sessions.
Follow safety protocols to protect patients and staff from overexposure to radiation.
Educate patients and their families on treatment expectations and side effects.
Collaborate with radiation oncologists and other healthcare team members to develop and adjust treatment plans.
