Job Description
**Title**
Radiation Therapist – Oncology **Schedule**
- Shift: Day Shift (8am - 4:30pm)
- 8-hour shifts
- Days: 5 days a week **Assignment Details**
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 Weekly **Requirements**
- Current NY State License required
- One year of radiation therapy experience
- Experience with Varian TrueBeam, IX, and Aria software preferred
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Current BCLS certification
- Knowledge of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Maintenance of all required state and federal licenses and registries **Roles & Responsibilities**
- Administer radiation treatment to patients as prescribed by a physician.
- Collaborate with oncologists and healthcare teams to evaluate patient treatment plans.
- Maintain patient records and treatment documentation accurately.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards in radiation therapy.
- Provide education and support to patients regarding treatment procedures and care.
