Radiation Therapist - Outpatient Care

Responsibilities
• Administer accurate radiation treatments as prescribed by physicians and outlined in treatment plans.
• Operate and oversee linear accelerators and associated radiation therapy equipment.
• Confirm patient identity, setup, and positioning using imaging and immobilization techniques.
• Monitor patients throughout treatments and communicate any changes to the care team.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation within electronic medical records (EMR) and treatment logs.
• Adhere to all radiation safety guidelines, quality assurance protocols, and infection control measures.
• Collaborate effectively with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, physicists, and nursing personnel.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding the treatment process and potential side effects.
