Job Summary:

As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a crucial role in administering ionizing radiation to patients based on physician prescriptions, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the treatment process.

Job Requirements:
• Education and Work Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent: Preferred
• Master's Degree: Preferred
• Experience in radiologic technology: Preferred
• Licenses/Certifications:
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T): Required
• Certification of Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT): Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
• Fluoroscopy Permit from state of practice: Preferred
• ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T): Required
• Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification (TRT): Required

Essential Functions:
• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy by verifying treatment plans and communicating effectively with patients about procedures, safety measures, and overall care.
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment, ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Monitor patients throughout treatment, documenting any unusual reactions and consulting with supervisors and physicians as necessary.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and patient charts, ensuring compliance and quality assurance in documentation.
• Provide clinical supervision to students and evaluate their practical skills.
• Undertake additional job-related duties as assigned to enhance patient care.
