Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our healthcare team. The Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by radiation oncologists. The Radiation Therapist plays a critical role in cancer treatment by delivering precise radiation therapy while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality care. The Radiation Therapist works closely with physicians, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide effective treatment plans and support positive patient outcomes.

The Radiation Therapist will operate advanced radiation therapy equipment, position patients accurately for treatment, monitor patient responses, and maintain detailed treatment records. The Radiation Therapist must demonstrate exceptional technical skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. This Radiation Therapist position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment, and adherence to established safety protocols.

Responsibilities:
• Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients.
• Operate radiation therapy equipment safely and accurately.
• Position patients precisely according to treatment plans.
• Review treatment prescriptions and verify patient information before procedures.
• Monitor patients during radiation therapy sessions and respond to concerns appropriately.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and patient documentation.
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists, and healthcare staff.
• Explain treatment procedures and answer patient questions regarding radiation therapy.
• Observe patients for adverse reactions and report findings to medical staff.
• Perform quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment.
• Follow radiation safety regulations and infection control procedures.
• Assist in treatment planning and simulation procedures when required.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and departmental policies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Education:
• Associate's Degree Must be a graduate from an accredited Radiation therapy program Required

Certifications:
• ARRT Radiation Therapy Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Required

Experience:
• Minimum 2 years Experience in Radiation Therapy Preferred
