Radiation Therapist

Position Summary Our client is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Radiation Therapist to join their team. The Radiation Therapist will administer prescribed radiation treatments to patients, ensuring accuracy, safety, and exceptional patient care throughout the treatment process. New Graduates are encouraged to apply! Key Responsibilities Deliver external beam radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.Accurately position patients and operate linear accelerator equipment.Review treatment plans and verify patient setup prior to each session.Monitor patients during treatment and respond appropriately to any concerns.Document treatment delivery and maintain accurate patient records.Perform daily equipment quality assurance (QA) checks and report discrepancies.Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety protocols and regulatory standards.Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff to ensure coordinated care. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.ARRT (R.T.(T)) certification required.Active FL LicenseCurrent BLS certification preferred.Strong knowledge of radiation safety and treatment delivery procedures.Excellent communication and patient care skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Experience Experience with Elekta Linear accelerators and Mosaiq preferred but not required.Familiarity with advanced treatment techniques such as IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, and SBRT.
