Radiation Oncology Physician Opportunities – Central Illinois (Pick Your Location)
• Seeking Radiation Oncologists for opportunities in Normal, Urbana, and Peoria
• New graduates welcome
• Mentorship available for new graduates
• Multidisciplinary cancer care setting with strong Medical Oncology and Surgical Services support
• Weekly QA Radiation Oncology Conference/Chart Rounds and disease site-specific Tumor Boards
• EPIC EMR, ARIA radiation oncology record, and Eclipse treatment planning software utilized
• Opportunities for academic, teaching, and/or research involvement
• Clinical research program includes NCORP support and access to numerous open clinical trials
Candidate Requirements
• Board-certified or board-eligible Radiation Oncologist
• Interest in external beam radiation therapy
• HDR brachytherapy experience or interest is a plus, but not required
• Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary cancer care environment
• Teaching medical students and residents is expected for the Urbana opportunity
Practice Highlights
• Established Radiation Oncology service line across Normal, Urbana, and Peoria
• External beam treatment options include 3D, IMRT with Rapid Arc, SRS, SRT, and SBRT
• Active stereotactic radiotherapy programs
• Strong multidisciplinary support from Medical Oncology, Surgical Services, physics, dosimetry, radiation therapy, nursing, and oncology support staff
• Opportunities to support investigator-initiated studies
Normal
• External beam radiation therapy opportunity
• HDR brachytherapy not required
• Work with 6 other Radiation Oncologists across the broader service line
• 1 external beam radiation unit
• Varian TrueBeam with micro-MLCs, CT simulator, and PET/CT onsite
Urbana
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• External beam radiation therapy and brachytherapy opportunity
• HDR brachytherapy experience or interest is a plus, but not required
• Work with 3 other Radiation Oncologists
• 3 external beam radiation units and HDR brachytherapy unit
• Active lung SBRT and gynecological HDR brachytherapy programs
• Research component may be considered for candidates with a strong academic background
Peoria
• External beam radiation therapy opportunity
• HDR brachytherapy is a future opportunity, if desired
• Work with 7 other Radiation Oncologists across the broader service line
• Two linear accelerators: Varian TrueBeam and Varian Edge with micro-MLCs
• Capabilities include 3D, IMRT with Rapid Arc, SRS, SRT, SBRT, surface monitoring, and respiratory gating
• Additional support includes navigators, dietician, social work, physics, dosimetry, radiation therapists, RNs, and onsite department supervisor
Compensation & Benefits
• Normal compensation range: $525,000 to $600,000
• Urbana compensation range: $575,000 to $600,000+ per year
• Peoria compensation range: $550,000 to $600,000
