Radiation Oncologist

Alumni Healthcare Staffing seeks Radiation Oncologists to provide high-quality cancer care at partner facilities across New Mexico. In this locum-focused role, you will perform consultations, design and oversee radiation treatment plans, and manage follow-up care in collaboration with multidisciplinary oncology teams. Responsibilities include image review, plan verification, toxicity management, and documentation. Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive radiation oncology care including consultation, treatment planning, and follow-up for cancer patients
• Interpret imaging and coordinate care with multidisciplinary oncology teams and referring providers
• Develop and verify radiation treatment plans in collaboration with dosimetrists and medical physicists
• Ensure adherence to evidence-based protocols, patient safety, and quality assurance standards
• Document patient encounters, treatment responses, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
• Participate in tumor boards and care conferences to optimize individualized treatment strategies
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment options, side effects, and expectations
• Collaborate with Alumni Healthcare Staffing team to coordinate schedules and assignments across facilities
• Maintain active medical licensure, board certification, and compliance with hospital bylaws and regulations
• Contribute to a culture of integrity, responsiveness, and service excellence in all patient and client interactions
