Radiation Medical Assistant

Central Care Cancer Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our Radiation Oncology team in Emporia, KS. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to make a difference in patients’ lives while gaining hands-on experience in a specialized clinic.

Responsibilities

•
Assist Radiation Therapist, ensuring patient preparation and positioning according to established protocols.
•
Monitor patients before, during, and after imaging to ensure safety and comfort.
•
Educate patients on the procedure, addressing any questions or concerns.
•
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
•
Ensure proper infection control and radiation safety protocols are followed.
•
Assist in scheduling patients and coordinating with referring providers.
•
Maintain and stock supplies, ensuring exam rooms are properly prepared.

Qualifications & Requirements

•
Experience in a medical setting preferred.
•
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
•
Excellent patient care and communication skills.
•
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a team.
•
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.

Schedule & Work Setting

•
Full-time, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM schedule (with potential for occasional adjustments based on clinic needs).
•
On-site clinical position.
