Job Summary/Basic Functions



The incumbent performs incoming, in-process, final and outgoing inspection of materials, tools, workpieces, and products such as castings, cutting tools, gauges, machine parts, and assembled units for conformance to specifications.



Job Knowledge Requirements





- Use of basic inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and go/no-go gages.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Basic computer skills with emphasis on spreadsheets, word processing, and digital photography.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly.





Additional Responsibilities





- Maintain Quality Assurance documents, samples, equipment, and all related files.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
- Perform other (related) duties as directed by Quality Assurance Leadership.





Preferred Qualifications/Education/Experience





- Must have a high school diploma or vocational training equivalent in machining trades.
- Manual dexterity and strength/stamina to perform all tasks. Able to lift 45 pounds unassisted.
- Visual acuity including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
- Basic computer skills.
