Quality Analyst

Quality Analyst Job Summary:

The Quality Analyst supports daily quality assurance activities of automotive steel/Aluminum blanks produced from blanking operations. The position works directly on the production floor verifying product quality, identifying defects, supporting problem investigations, and helping prevent nonconforming material from reaching the customer. The role will be trained in automotive quality systems and continuous improvement methods.





Quality Analyst Responsibilities:


- Responsible for reviewing the daily hold reports.
- Responsible for releasing material via dispomatic report.
- Lead day-to-day activities and improvement activities for Quality department.
- Prioritize workload efficiently for quality department.
- Defect detection & containment
- Use measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc)
- Communicating any quality issues with mill tech services.
- Discuss quality issues with supervisor.
- Conduct internal audits for the quality management system.
- Support Problem Solving & Improvement.
- Participate in quality-related meetings.










Quality Analyst Knowledge & Experience:


- Associate degree from a college or technical school; or one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in an automotive, assembly, manufacturing, or production environment preferred.
- Experience working with various metals and ISO/IATF standards preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, quality manuals, operational procedures, work instructions, diagrams, and schedules.
- Ability to write work instructions, process procedures, standards, routine reports, and correspondence as needed.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, employees, and customers.
- Strong basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
- Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret basic graphs.
- Experience using the metric system preferred.
- Strong practical problem-solving skills and ability to work with multiple variables.
- Proficiency with 10-key calculators, data entry, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify small defects and quality issues.
- Ability to follow standardized work instructions and established quality procedures.
