PRN Radiation Oncology LPN

One of the primary duties of the LPN Hospital position is aiding the Registered Nurse or healthcare personnel in delivering excellent patient care within a hospital environment. Tasked with closely following instructions, this role focuses on establishing and executing care strategies within the hospital's framework, along with readying essential equipment for different procedures within the hospital's systems.

Essential Job Function:
• One way to support the care team is by acquiring patient history and medical data to facilitate thorough case documentation within hospital medical records.
• Supports in formulating and putting into action care schedules as instructed by the Registered Nurse or healthcare practitioner to cater to the needs of individuals receiving medical care in a hospital setting.
• Guarantees that the appropriate procedures and safety protocols are followed according to the policies of Cone Health for sterile environments.
• Conveys healthcare directives to patients and their loved ones to ensure the clarity of information regarding the care strategy.
• Assists in managing emergencies and potential safety threats by using personal protective gear and hospital safety measures to prevent patient injury.
• Engages in other responsibilities as delegated.

Education:
• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Diploma in Practical Nursing; Completion of Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required within 4 years of hire.

Experience:
• Required: Non-New LPN Graduates must be accepted into the Cone Health LPN Academy.

Licensure/Certification/Listing:
• Required: Current LPN license in North Carolina.
• BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
