Precision Cut-Off Technician (Material Handling)

As a Precision Cut-Off Technician, you’ll operate a range of industrial saws while coordinating material flow across the shop floor. Your accuracy, communication, and safety mindset will keep production moving and customers satisfied.

A day in the life

You clock in, review work orders, and pull stock for the day’s queue. You verify dimensions, set up the appropriate saw, and measure twice before you cut. Each piece is checked against specifications, labeled, and staged for shipment or pickup. Between runs, you unload incoming deliveries with a forklift, work with vendor drivers to receive orders correctly, and greet customers arriving for will‑call. You tidy as you go—keeping tools organized and the work area safe—then close your day with a quick huddle or required meeting at the designated location.

What you’ll do

• Operate multiple saw types to cut a variety of materials with precision and efficiency.
• Use and interpret measuring tools accurately; read and apply drawings/blueprints.
• Verify part specifications and consistently produce accurate, repeatable results.
• Coordinate with vendor drivers to receive and process incoming orders.
• Assist customers during order pickups with friendly, professional service.
• Operate a forklift and use hand tools safely and correctly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
• Support roadwork/installation at customer sites as directed by management.
• Handle additional tasks as assigned and attend required meetings at the specified location.
