- Receives/Reviews progress and evaluates results of experiments or projects under control or supervisory responsibility.

- May be responsible for a single highly technical and complex piece of research equipment.
- May review and evaluate the effectiveness of personnel.
- May plan for and assign personnel to projects under control.
- Operates with latitude for unreviewed action.
- May receive general supervision conferring with higher levels only in unusual situations.

Additional Posting Information



In the Postdoctoral Fellow position offered, the successful candidate will have strong academic preparation and experience in both experimental and modeling research work documented by corresponding journal publications, and is expected to perform the following tasks/duties for the research group:




- Conduct Research in Plasma Stimulation, both experimentally and numerically
- Use simulation models to design and/or analyze observed lab experimental results.
- Explore the exploitation of geothermal resources.
- Coordinate the work of PhD students involved with the project(s) in the research team.
- Participate in internal and external weekly meetings.
- Help in preparing quarterly, yearly, and final reports.
- Help to meet project(s) deliverables.
- Help in writing research proposals soliciting funds from funding agencies such as DOE, NSF, etc.
- Help in writing and presenting technical articles on the research being developed and results obtained.
- Help in filing patents on research efforts.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.





The minimum requirement for the position is a Doctor of Philosophy in a directly related Engineering or Science field with specialization directly related to the type of work briefly described above and planned to be performed.
