Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated Radiation Oncologist for a 9-day assignment in Louisiana, commencing Jul 15, 2026. This vital role involves overseeing treatments, completing weekly patient visits, and applying a comprehensive skill set in advanced radiation oncology procedures, including brachytherapy and external beam radiation therapy, across specific daily shifts.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Complete weekly patient treatment visits.
• Oversee patient treatments efficiently and effectively.
• Perform Brachytherapy, including Intracavitary (e.g., Mammosite), Interstitial, Vascular/Endovascular, LDR - Low dose rate, and LDR - High dose rate.
• Utilize External Beam Therapy (EBRT) with Linear Accelerator, Rapid Arc/VMAT, Electrons, Tomotherapy, and Superficial/Orthovoltage techniques.
• Apply advanced techniques such as Conventional/Conformal Therapy, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) of all types, Cyber Knife, Gamma Knife, Intraoperative Radiation Therapy (IORT), Total Body Irradiation (TBI), Total Skin Electrons (TSE), and Hyper Altered Fractionation.
• Conduct comprehensive Treatment Planning, including Conventional Treatment Planning, Beam Shaping (MLC), 3D CRT, IMRT, PET CT or MRI Image Fusion, Electronic Portal Imaging (EPI), and participation in Clinical Trials.

Additional Information
• Board certification in Radiation Oncology required.
• EMR system: Epic.
• Daily shift hours typically from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM or 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM.
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 120 days.
