Job Description
The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center invite research-intensive faculty at all professional ranks to join the new Center for Research Excellence in Supportive Care (CREST) at the James Cancer Center and the Section for Pain and Palliative Care Research (SPARC). This opportunity welcomes physicians, doctoral-level clinicians, clinical PhDs, and non-clinical PhDs to lead impactful supportive care research in areas such as aging, symptom management, and substance use. Faculty members will benefit from start-up support, collaborative cross-college partnerships, and a supportive academic environment designed to foster career development.
Practice Info
• Center for Research Excellence in Supportive Care (CREST) at the James Cancer Center / Solove Research Institute and the Section for Pain and Palliative Care Research (SPARC) in the Division of Palliative Medicine
• Growing group of five faculty and one post-doc focused on various areas of supportive care research
• Collaborations possible across the University including the Colleges of Medicine, and Nursing and Public Health
Responsibilities
• Build and grow their own research programs
• Work collaboratively with like-minded scientists
• Mentor early-career investigators as appropriate

Requirements
• Applicants may be physicians, other doctoral-level clinicians (e.g., PsyD, DPT), clinical PhDs (e.g., clinical psychologists), or non-clinical PhDs
• Publication record commensurate with faculty rank is expected
• Current federal or foundation funding is preferred but not required
• An existing cancer focus is preferred, and if not, a desire to expand to the cancer space is highly desirable but not required
• Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check
• A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process
• Open to visa sponsorship
