Quick Facts Location: Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, 17 Belmont Avenue, Brattleboro, VT 05301 Start Date: Flexible End Date/Duration: Ongoing Shift: Part-time ( 24 hours/week) Hours/Week: 24 hours Employment Type: Part-Time License/Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology Experience: Demonstrated clinical expertise in oncology preferred Pay & Benefits Pay Package: $1.00 per hour (note: pay details provided; see below) Additional Compensation: Competitive salary range $250,000 - $350,000 annually (pro-rated for part-time) Benefits: Collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment Professional growth and leadership opportunities Participation in clinical trials and innovative treatments Supportive work environment in a rural community setting What You'll Do Diagnose and stage various cancers using clinical assessments, imaging, and lab tests Develop personalized treatment plans including chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed Manage treatment side effects and provide supportive care to improve quality of life Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and outlooks Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, nurses, and navigators to coordinate care Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives Stay updated on current clinical guidelines and advancements in oncology Mentor and guide other healthcare professionals in oncology practices What You Need Medical license in Vermont; Board Certification or Eligibility in Oncology Minimum of 2+ years relevant experience preferred Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills Compassionate patient communication and teamwork abilities Not open to candidates who commute more than 1 hour, or working in conjunction with other jobs About the Assignment This position is based at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, a caring community facility serving southeastern Vermont and neighboring areas in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
