JOB OVERVIEW Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunity Profession: Physician Specialty: Hematology & Oncology Job Type: Locum-to-Perm Location: Paducah, Kentucky Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Oct 01, 2026 Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon Fri, 8a 5p Call Schedule: Night Call; 5p-7a - 3 to 6 nights/month Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: 100% Adults Average Daily Volume: 18-22 per day New Alloted Time: - New Patient: 30 mins - Follow up: 15 mins Case Mix: 70% Oncology; 30% Hematology FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Support Staff Available: MAs: Assigned to physician; PA/NPs: Available for follow-ups and new Hematology patients PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 90-120 days after application submission REQUIRED PROCEDURES Intrathecal Chemotherapy Intracavitary Chemotherapy Outpatient and Inpatient Hematology/Oncology care JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified in Hematology or Medical Oncology Licenses: KY State License (Highly Preferred; IMLC eligible) Certifications: BLS, ACLS Experience: Hematology/Oncology Fellowship required; Outpatient/Inpatient Hem/Onc experience required Other Qualifications: xxoysbn COVID Vaccination required; Self-Query NPDB report (within 30 days) required Duties & Responsibilities Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care in clinic setting (95% of duties) Conduct hospital rounds and inpatient consultations (5% of duties) Manage daily patient panel of 18-22 patients including 2-3 new consults Share night call coverage of 3-6 shifts per month (5p-7a) Perform intrathecal and intracavitary chemotherapy procedures as needed
