Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology Physician - Martinsville, VA

Quick Facts:
• Location: Martinsville, VA (320 Hospital Drive)
• Start Date: 08/03/2026
• End Date/Duration: 07/31/2027
• Shift: 4 shifts per week, 8-10 hours/day (pending patient volume)
• Hours/Week: Approximately 32-40 hours
• Employment Type: Contract
• Licensure/Certs: Virginia medical license and board certification in Hematology/Oncology preferred
• Experience: Prior outpatient medical oncology experience preferred

Pay & Benefits:
• Pay rate: $1.00/hour (details discussed upon application)
• Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit

What You’ll Do:
• Manage outpatient care for 12-15 patients daily in an oncology setting
• Provide consultation and ongoing treatment for hematology and oncology cases
• Participate in light call coverage (beeper only, 2-5 calls per week)
• Collaborate with an established team including three permanent providers in the oncology center
• Follow evidence-based treatment guidelines and protocols
• Document patient interactions accurately and efficiently in EMR system
• Support long-term care planning and coordinate with other healthcare professionals

What You Need:
• Medical license in Virginia
• Board certification in Hematology and Oncology preferred
• Proven experience in outpatient oncology preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to commit long-term to community and facility
