The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivers healthcare to patients in a hospital or office setting. Working in collaboration with a physician, the provider operates in coordination with the care team. The role functions according to established standards and practices for Advanced Practice Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, or Physician Assistants in the State of Texas.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care to patients in the hospital or office setting

• Function according to the established standards and practices of medicine for Advanced Practice Nurse/Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistants in the State of Texas

Requirements

• Master's Degree

• No previous experience

• BSN, MSN, ANP, or PA licensed in the state of Texas

• BLS

• Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies

• Thorough knowledge of patient triage, diagnosis and evidenced-based care

• Knowledge in overcoming barriers from diagnosis to treatment including financial, language, and transportation issues

• Skills in planning, organizing, delegating, supervising, and evaluating methods and procedures

• Skills in problem solving, verbal and written communication, and disease awareness speaking engagements

• Ability to read and apply procedures, set priorities, and effectively interact with patients and staff
